A lightweight, light coloured wood with little pattern often finished with a solid colour. (The Hunter)

Slightly heavier than alder, again often finished with a solid colour (The Hepplewhite), although oiling and waxing can bring out natural beauty of this wood (The Macfie).

It is possible to obtain highly decorative pieces of Ash. This can be slightly heavier than the two woods listed above and usually has a transparent finish (Evalyn) although again this can be oiled and waxed. (Lloyd Cooke)

I can source other timbers for my customers at your request or use woods you wish to supply.
